Seals

Seals are some of the most incredible marine mammals in the world. You may think that their bodies are better designed to meet their needs in the water than on land.

They are large animals, but they are very skilled when it comes to moving in the water with the help of their fins. They are able to get a speed of 23 km/h. They have a thick belly, which slides on the ground as they move.

Besides, these layers of fat make it possible for them to survive in cold and isolated environments. It also helps them to have warm blood, to keep warm. And that's not all, seals have more blood in their bodies, relative to their size, than any other animal in the world.

A Bottle by the Seal

More than 5 trillion pieces of plastic float in our oceans.

Plastic production involves the use of a huge amount of fossil fuels, representing around 8% of world oil production. It takes 100 mL of oil to make a single plastic bottle and it stays around 700 years in the ocean.

Around the world, almost one million plastic beverage containers are sold every minute. At least 700 species of marine animals have ingested or become trapped in plastic.

A choice as simple as switching from a disposable plastic bottle to a reusable one can save lives. I promote a more sustainable and ethical relationship with the natural world, raising awareness and making visible the urgent need to protect life on Earth.

Overfishing, Overdeath

Beige Minimal Thank You Card (2)_edited_edited.png

The exploitation of the oceans, overfishing, is one of the worst threats to all the biodiversity that inhabits the ocean and has serious effects on the environment and ourselves.

Every time a species dies, all the animals and plants that depend on it are at risk of disappearing.
A large number of animals, such as fish, are being caught on a large scale at a very fast rate; the seals and other animals are running out of food, it is very difficult for them to find it. So if we take care of the fish we can restore the ocean and protect thousands of species, including seals.

Only 5% of the ocean has been explored and, even so, we know about 32,000 species of fish. They are disappearing at an alarming and unprecedented rate. One of the most devastating threats to fish is overexploitation, in the marine environment is where it has an even greater impact and the danger increases due to the low awareness and awareness about it.
Our extraction of marine resources is vastly outpacing the efforts of the ocean itself to regenerate itself and face other fishing activities again. It is very important that we understand that each one of us has an impact on different biospheres.
